Worship

in spirit and in truth

To worship God in spirit and truth necessarily involves loving Him with heart, soul, mind and strength. True worship must be "in spirit", that is engaging the whole heart. Unless there's a real passion for God, there is no worship in spirit. At the same time, worship must be "in truth", that is properly informed. Unless we have knowledge of the God we worship, there is no worship in truth. Both are necessary for satisfying and God honouring worship.

Lifestyle of worship

And so, dear brothers and sisters, I plead with you to give your bodies to God because of all He has done for you. Let them be a living and holy sacrifice - the kind He will find acceptable. This is truly the way to worship Him.

Romans 12:1

We believe that worship is not just reserved for Sundays but for every day of our lives, 24/7. We strive to live lifestyles of worship both on and off the stage. We want to worship God in all that we do and have pure hearts for Him.

Worship Changes our Perspective

At the very moment they began to sing and give praise, the LORD caused the armies of Ammon, Moab, and Mount Seir to start fighting among themselves.

2 Chronicles 20:22

Worship is about our perspective changing... changing from focusing on ourselves to us fixing our eyes on Jesus. This story above is fantastic and shows the power of God through our worship. As they began to sing and worship God, the breakthrough came. We believe that worship has the power to change and transform lives, and bring about reformation in our nation.

Song WRITING

David and the army commanders then appointed men from the families of Asaph, Heman and Jeduthun to proclaim God's messages to the accompaniment of lyres, harps, and cymbals.

1 Chronicles 25:1

Song writing is a part of our worship too. We want to write songs that reflect the Father's heart and above all else bring Him glory.

Worship Practice

Worship is all about Jesus; all about Him and for His glory alone. Our worship practices are on Thursday nights for King's Church Chatham from 20:00 to 22:00 or Sunday afternoons for King's Church Gillingham from 14:00.

During worship practice, we focus on worshipping God, learning new songs and developing relationships within the team. All we do is centred on bringing glory to Him and doing things in excellence for our King, Jesus Christ.
